an enjoybale game indeed.. some good points..

strong midfield which won us the game..
kyle goalkick realli a threat..
good strikin partnership..
the two centre backs did a great job esp guidin a lost sheep like me..

try very best to play short goalkick..
buildup from the back..
be darin to pass into the centre..
sharper finishin..

FINAL SCORE READS -- Hornyteam 4:0 Mavericks

SCORERS -- songq X 4

HOW THE MATCH WENT --

mavericks started the game with hornyteam having one player short. unable to take full use of the advantage, mavericks were punished when richard arrived finally after 15 mins of the game, and the forward made an immediate impact by knocking down a long goal kick from kyle for songq to put home. the exchanges were far and few between as the battles were mainly in the midfield, though it was hornyteam who had the best of chances when junhao blasted over after being set free by a clever little through ball from zhiping. the team did double the lead moments before half time, this time it was richard who seized on a weak goal kick from the opponent keeper as he headed the ball for songq to score once again, leaving the mavericks to feel a sense of bitter deja vu.

hornyteam started the second half with mavericks pouring forward, trying to turn the game into their favour. the defensive nucleus of hornyteam stood strong however, and the killer blow was delivered when a corner from zhiping wrecked havoc within the mavericks box, and songq made no mistake to complete his hat trick as he tumbled in the rebound from richard's snap-shot. growing in confidence, hornyteam then started to strike the ball around and produced some decent passing play. songq even found time to score the fourth goal as he lashed onto a monstrous goal kick from kyle to complete the route.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE --

kyle (7.5) : a clean sheet an a rare assist. well done.

likoon (7.5) : finally made his long overdue debut after 3 years. a composed performance from the right back even though he did concede a few unneccessary fouls.

delwyn (8) : steady performance, communicated well with neng for the offside trap.

neng (7.5) : good communication with del, commanded the back four with authority.

ivan (7.5) : a little lost at times as the team employed the offside trap, but was magnificient as he ran up and down the field tirelessly, offering extra option to the attack.

zhiping (8) : displayed his tenacious side as he won a fair share of tackles (and headers as well!) in the middle of the park. made some commendable passes too.

kenneth (7.5) : another ndu performance, provided good cover for the back four.

junhao (7.5) : made some excellent runs especially during the first half. linked up the play well and was energetic throughout.

yuxian (7.5) : offered width on the left with his electrico pace. would have done even better if he can improve on his crossing quality.

richard (8.5) : outstanding performance from the supporting striker. combined well with songq to demolish the opponents as he handed in three assists.

songq (10) : 4 goals out of 6 chances. he is on fire.

VERDICT --

good win and a good clean sheet, definitely a morale boaster but we must bear in mind that the opponents aint exactly a manchester united. in fact we only started to play well midway through the second half despite all the goals, and there's still plenty of rooms for improvement.
