wayne(unrated): really don know what to say about him and his performance.....
ivan(7): fought well, especially against many taller than him, feisty
character, but did some stupid things during game.....
max(7.5): did well, nothing much went past him, composed.....
songq(7.5): steady in defence, but not in offence.....
loy(7): did what i do best in defence, couldn't prevent the goal cause it's just crazy how it happened.....
james(8): well i think he did pretty well on his debut, couple of scoring chances not taken, but credited for gettin into scoring positions, won some tackles, passed ball pretty ok.....
tag(8): great job playin on the left wing, strong and hard, knows how to use his body to turn defenders inside out, provided some great crosses, can use him in future games if need arises.....
delwyn(7.5): was tryin to be as hard as he wanted in the game, i could tell, tend to get a little lost at times playin centre mid, nevertheless was strong in aerial and ground duels, won much challenges.....
qinghwa(6): lost, totally lost, invisible much of the game, but we all appreciated he came to make up the numbers, need to work on lotsa areas if ya ask me.....
kyle(7.5): appreciate he's always tryin hard to get past defenders, but at times tryin too hard, and couldn't accomplished simple things like pass a simple ball to a teammate standing beside him, but still a force to be reckon with, feisty character upfront.....
neng(7.5): was pretty ok playin striker in the game, quite strong in the air but think he need to work on his positioning, did well passing the ball whenever possible, had couple of decent chances at goal throughout the game, good runs into the box to receive balls.....
zenots(6.5): appreciate he rushed down to pitch from wherever he was earlier, player of his calibre could deal some damage to opponents but too bad he came real late with little time left, credited for some lovely close control and reversed passes.....
Hope all gays fine with my evaluation of how we all played.....

Geez..... even i didn't knew nengz told zenots we were 4-0 down half time..... but trust us we all did what we could even with such a make-shift team..... somethin to cheer about, we conceded only 1 goal today with such a team than the times we had full team lineup..... strange, but freakin true.....
One thingy i wish everyone in hornyteam know..... i always and for as long as ya gays still want me to play, work my socks out for every single game..... but i really don wish we go down like today due to super silly goal conceded..... i was the next closest player behind the black jersey striker pressurizin him then, and i really saw he could and had some reaction time to do somethin to keep the freakin ball from crossin the goal line..... i swear on my father's grave on this.....
i was totally shocked he didn't do anythin to keep it out, he jus raised his hands to his head when the time he used to do that he could do somethin to the ball..... i was absolutely shocked even now come to think of it.....
i really don have much strength left to shout at him, i'm really sick of how he doesn't concede his mistakes and always wanna explain his ways outta situations..... it's so bad so so bad to know we conceded such a goal, despite everyone's desperate defending..... think all the defenders today felt we could've at least salvaged a draw, hung on to a point, until the blooper happened..... I'm really sad, so sad that we lost like that..... Hai........
I hereby promise i'll never shout at him again, cause it doesn't help at all..... i'll let whoever gay do it from today onwards..... i'll jus do my part in the game, shut my mouth throughout in the field.....
Last thingy..... Cpt Ivan Lim, i hope from the bottom of my heart you really go do somethin about the goalkeepin..... i really worked hard today, nothin went past me, every challenge i fought for i won at least 50% of them, but to concede like that i can't live with it..... i really can't.....

FINAL SCORE READS -- HORNYTEAM 0:1 SENGKANG RECREATIONAL FOOTBALL CLUB
It's very demoralising when u're desperately waiting for last parade after a 12 hour night shift prowling duty so that you can quickly fall out from camp and join your teammates to battle, only to receive news that the team is already dropping behind 4-0.
It's even more demoralising to realise by the time u reach the field after spending 45 mins of heart-burnt waiting and $20 on cab, there's only 15 mins left and half of the squad are last min replacements whom some you didn't expect of.
and you put on your gear, went into the field, realised there's no system at all, and you try to establish some composure, but everyone were simply too caught in their own mind to response positively.
okay. the 4-0 thing may be just a prank from mr neng. in actual fact we did lose but the scoreline was only 1-0, though what i wanto tell neng is that this thing is not funny at all and who knows, if not for that so-called joke mayb the team would have make a come back, as it is really detrimental psychologically no matter how hard one try to deny.
still, think you guys have put on a good fight despite having a make-shift team. really proud of y'all.

Match Preview: Hornyteam vs. Sengkang Recreation FC (Morning, 10th September 2006)
Challenge Mounts As Options Dwindle
Absence of players due to external obligations beckons Hornyteam to prove its mettle.
For a squad lacking in substantial depth, any neutral observer would probably express deep concern looking at the available players for Hornyteam this week in their Friendly against Sengkang Recreation FC.
At press time, at least three players: Sirseng, Richard and Ser Hwee are ruled out while Zhi Ping aka Zenots is doubtful to start.
This leaves Hornyteam with barely enough options to start with eleven players.
A major resuffling is on the cards that could see players deployed outside of their usual positions. It remains to be seen what formation they will adopt to accomodate the vast changes.
Although faced with a selection headache, Hornyteam forward Kyle insists that morale remains high following their four match unbeaten run and the players are eager to improve on their good form.
He is, however, quick to remind the team that they should be under no illusion that Sengkang will be there for the taking.
"What we've heard is (that) they are no pushovers." He said. "It is impotant to keep in mind that this will be the toughest of all our past four or five matches and our numerical disadvantage makes it more so."
"We've got to stay focused and alert throughout the match. With everyone doing their job well we will make our task easier."
Kyle's cautious sentiments are justified, as Sengkang boast players with impressive track records and CVs, something that Hornyteam wants to make up for in verve and tenacity.
He said, "Its a test of resilience, a baptism of fire. We cannot guarantee we will get anything out of the match but we will work our socks off to make it happen."
"Should we enjoy our game at the same time and have a bit of luck here and there anything goes." He added.
When quizzed about his own lack of match fitness due to a long lay-off from training due to a troublesome back, Kyle admitted that following his full recovery he has got a lot of fitness to catch up on and he will have to use some footballing acumen to last the 90 minutes.
"Of course if I exert myself too much too early I won't have anything left by half-time." He mused. "I must adjust my game such that I will be able to play a big part for as long a time as possible. The important thing is that I must see much of the ball and make good use of it, at the same time conserving energy."
Kyle does not expect any favours, and expects the Sengkang defenders to work hard and try to mark him out of the game.
Asked how he will cope, he grinned, "Those cards I'll have to keep to myself."
Let's hope Hornyteam will deal the right ones tomorrow.

Kyle Replies
Wayne's latest post serves to show that, when I messaged him, it was about something productive or concerning the team. I had asked for opinion on Pei Rong's intention to join and this shows that I respect his views. I was also helping her and I refuse to believe that Wayne, as her acquaintance, will treat this contemptously too. In that conversation, I merely told him what I was told myself by Pei Rong. I honestly don't think Wayne should be implicating her too, like a hostage.
However when Wayne messaged me, it was always either of two things - "wanna go out 2nite" or "gay". It may sound preposterous. I wish he can discuss something productive like the others all do with one another. Especially for all his shortcomings, we still respect him and consider him to be a core member of Hornyteam. It sometimes infuriates me that Wayne does not seem the least concerned about himself and the team, and has led to my outburst against him. This has caused him to be evidently bitter against me. But vocal as I might be, Wayne does not realise that I am trying to speak for the team.
Wayne, you are taking up a lot of the team's attention, which could be better channeled elsewhere. We are all concerned about you. We can't force you to help yourself but we hope you will. You can continue throwing words around and at us but we will try not to let it affect the rest of the team. You are a test to our unity and patience but I think we will win in the end. It's up to you whether you want to win with us.

Player Statement: Kyle
I think some clarification needs to be done before Wayne distorts the truth even more. I have stopped provoking him directly for a few weeks although I did voice displeasure at him with my fellow teammates. For the past few weeks Wayne has been confronting me on MSN Messenger and attempting to provoke me into insulting him so that he will have a case against me. Please note I have never initiated a conversation without him making the first move. During the course of the last few days I was unfortunate to be the target of his foul-mouthed affront. He also has had the effrontery to threaten his own team-mate, which has undoubtedly breached a code of conduct. My reply to him with cynicism and contempt(but never with malice) has been greeted with vicious tirades and threats.
My calmness does not seem to quell Wayne's state of agitation and paranoia. It appears that now he is launching a personal attack on me(somewhat of an understatement). All I had ever done was to help him realise that he needs to improve a lot to have any contribution to the team in future, and when that looked to be failing I responded with exasperatedness and sarcasm, which I admit is not the best reaction. But I'm not a person of unlimited patience and tolerance. I have been urging him along and disscussing with my fellow teammates how to help Wayne improve and perform. However this was met with suspicion by Wayne, somewhat ridiculously. It is in my opinion that he never tried to discern what was really going on, thus reflecting how little belief he has with the team and how narrow-minded an attitude Wayne has adopted in issues pertaining to this matter.
The bottom-line is, ultimately, we are all trying to help Wayne. Some of us, like me, have gotten fed up at some point and channeled our frustrations back at him, which is not appropriate. I admit that it must take a major effort from everyone in the team to rehabilitate the mind of a player who has lost his way. Although Wayne makes things even harder for himself and us, I realise that we should rally around one another and not give up. Faith is difficult but necessary. But I hope we see Wayne as the player he is, as any misplaced faith will only serve to defeat the entire purpose.
I shall be more tolerant of Wayne myself, and not appear so enthusiastic in pointing out his mistakes anymore, for everyone else can see for themselves. It is important for me not to commit myself to a one-man show, for it is essential to work together, share our experiences with Wayne, and work something out that can help Wayne improve while convincing him that we are not some conspiracy committee. We shall tolerate Wayne's accusations and wild allegations of anything, his resurfacing grudges, his distrust, because we might not be able to change him, but with hard work we might just be able to change the player in him.

Criminal intimidation.
503.
