it certainly was a greek tragedy for punters who placed their faith in greece winning 3 consecutive plates. which begs the question..will latvia be able to win 3 plates in a row? but when the final whistle blew..greek fans gathered n rejoiced and made merry in real big fat greek celebrations..and i'm talking about real greek fans here of course..
ok so portugal eased past spain..a fact belied by the 1-0 scoreline..but my money is on portugal to overcome england..perhaps england might bring the game to extra time but den again the possibility of a draw is covered for as portugal and england are level on the asian handicap..

great match.. the lowest scorin.. wayne did well to keep our goal clean.. manfred n sirseng debut was great lahz.. esp our man of match kyle.. scorer of two goals.. makin his way to the joint top scorers.. strong.. powerful.. aerial inclined.. ameobi our squad.. he promised 2 goals.. n brought us two fantastic goals.. malay finalli got his dream assist by crossin the ball for sum1 great to ur head into the goal.. we more organized in defence liaoz.. there is structure in the team.. hav to work on our finishin.. we were too goal shy.. owaes remember this score.. 2-1 to us..

good game guyz... glad tt we won tis match... to be fair was quite an evenly contested game... both teams had deir chances... shud say we were playing better in d 1st halv n early part of 2nd halv... but after we regain our lead wid 20 minutes left... think we juz got a bit too desperate to hold on to our lead... n we ended up playing quite defensive n scrappy... but nevertheless we fought till d end... so the final score reads 2-1... kahyun as striker was a revelation... he scored even b4 most of us hav e chance to touch e ball as he pounced on a sloppy control frm e dunman knights' centre back n bulldozed his way into d penalty box n altho e defender was holding his jersey he managed to score d 1st goal wid a simple tap in... however e dunman knights equalised in style thru a keng yang (vjc 1st team left back) corner which curled directly into e far post... of cuz we showed character n finally claim d victory thru another set piece gol... delwyn opted to take a short corner to me n i crossed into d penalty box risking my injured right foot... kahyun rose e highest among a sea of defenders n he headed home frm close range... yup so tts how it went...
generally i felt all of us played our parts n worked our socks off so we deserve d victory... kudos to AK hu shape up our backline wid his outstanding presence... n my congratulation goes to manfred n sirseng too who both made deir long awaited debut for e hornyteam... manfred had a solid display on d right back berth, even makin an acrobatic bycicle kick clearance which kept out a dangerous ball tt cud hav bounce in off e cross bar... n sirseng came so close to score his debut goal ha... but still, way to go guyz... still a few problems here n dere... one wud b our strike force... we nid a speedy striker to partner kyle in order for more options up front... also think tt our centre mids hav to b more kiappish... we started well when richard n delwyn was standin in d middle... but we tinkered arnd as e match goes on n e midfield den lost its shape... it is clear tt richard has all d assets to excel in cm n take control of e park... but it remains to be sort out between him n delwyn whether hu shud play e more attackin role, or dey juz play flat, watsoever... seriously hope delwyn can participate more in our soccer outings thus develop e partnership wid richard... it seems quite promising at least at e beginnin 2dae...

i guess they were wrong about the swiss wanting to prove a point against england..to be exact..they left the game pointless..so much for the pre-euro hype..nothing of that..the swiss played with zero commitment and zero zeal spare the occasional spark from hakan yakin..they didn't chase the game and that is what disappointed me the most..maybe the swiss should confine themselves to making chocalates and eating them and making watches and wearing them..england well they got the job done but the 3 goal margin is a tad flattering..under the sweltering heat..wayne rooney reminded me of a certain chen chen..but that is another story..oh no..that is a story that reminds me about the so-called virtues of backing the favourites..i hate to say this..but today was certainly a case of reverse reverse reverse..

I know a couple of us have placed some smart bets tonight. South American football is not exactly a tough nut to crack. I say fuck Euro and focus on South America. They have amazing Amazon women (that's alliteration for you). They brought us City of God which is really about a city that ironically has no sense of order. This is South America for you - the part of the world many thought referred to Texas. The misconceptions can be forgiven though. South Americans love their cows, their herd, their horses and boy do they love their women (try saying that in a Southern accent). But I don't really know if South Americans like to punt because I sure do. You see we Asians are smart people. We invented a betting system we call the Asian Handicap. I don't think the South Americans have ever heard of it. They are probably sick of the Japanese (so many of them in South America). You see we make football betting a little like golf - handicaps and all. So enough of the alternative take on South America.
